Safety Training Services
STARS has developed a set of training guidelines to assist employers with their occupational health and safety training activities. Our system is designed to help employers develop instructional programs as part of their total education and training efforts. The system addresses the questions of, “Who should be trained, on what topics, and for what purposes.” It also helps employers determine how effective the program has been and enables them to identify employees who are in greatest need of education and training.
The STARS System is general enough to be used in any area of occupational safety and health training, and allows employers to determine for themselves the content and format of training.
Each participant successfully completing a STARS Rescue Training Program will receive a Board Certified certificate of training. Industrial and certain municipal clients will also receive OSHA required training documentation, listing all required training components and field evaluations. Continuous Education Credits and certificates are also available.
Safety & Rescue Training Programs
STARS Training Programs include: Rope Rescue, Confined Space Entry and Rescue, Trench Rescue, Structural Collapse, Tower Rescue, FAST/RIC Team, Water Rescue and Team Building, just to name a few. Our training programs meet or exceed NFPA 1006/1670 standards and OSHA training requirements for 1910.146. In addition to our line of technical rescue training, STARS also offers a variety of OSHA required Safety Courses which include: Confined Space Entry Attendant and Supervisor Training, Fall Protection, Trench and Excavation Safety & Shoring, Tower and Bridge Inspection Climbing, and Lock-out/Tag-out and more.

Our Instructors
STARS instructors have active field experience in technical rescue, operations, and process. Each instructor has completed decades of extensive rescue training, has met and exceeded the regulatory agencies requirements, and Safety Training And Rescue Services, Inc’s ISO 9000-2000 Standards. Continuing education requirements, team technique building and course update programs are held quarterly. STARS Instructors are also certified local, State and Federal trainers. They are all active rescuers and emergency responders, in the field everyday on real IDLH missions. Their experience and expertise is from real situations that our teams face each and every day.

STARS online OSHA Training Institute offers a complete catalog of self paced, online safety compliance courses and industry accredited training to improve productivity and profitability. We have a variety of specialized training compliance packages and scheduled a number of additional course titles for release. We can also develop specific programs for any business or industry.

Confined Space Rescue & Entry Training
Our specialty is site-specific, task-specific confined space training to better prepare workers to enter confined spaces at a variety of levels including: Confined Space Awareness Training, Confined Space Entry/Attendant/Supervisor/Rescue, and API 653 Above Ground Storage Tank Inspector.

STARS Confined Space Rescue Training is based on NFPA 1670, which lays out specific knowledge and skill requirements for each level awareness, operations, technician, and instructor. The consensus standard provides guidelines and requirements for planning and providing technical rescue services. We can also offer your agency the testing elements required to meet NFPA 1006 Standard for Rescue Technician Professional Qualifications.
